A beautifully carved early 20th-century bone brooch with a fully-bloomed central rose and rich botanical detail, the quality of the carving and warm aged patina lifting it well above the ordinary. Dense, well-preserved bone with this level of detail is increasingly hard to find in good condition and this example has clearly been well cared for.

Good pre-owned condition for a piece of this age; the petal edges and leaf veins remain crisp and intact, the bone is dense and well-preserved with no visible cracks and a soft natural lustre throughout. The pin is straight and fits securely into the C-clasp; note that there is no safety catch.
