A finely carved late Victorian to early Edwardian shell cameo, likely depicting the Goddess Flora with a cascading floral headpiece, the creamy relief set against a warm peachy-brown ground. Housed in an ornate hand-engraved gilt frame with a twisted rope bezel and an original safety chain, it has a decorative presence well beyond the ordinary cameo.

Great antique condition; the carving remains crisp with no major chips, cracks or visible crazing, though there is a small area of darkness around the eye and a tiny purple mark on the cheek.
