Antique Souvenir Sweetheart Brooch From Alger, Algeria
Couldn't load pickup availability
A highly characterful and uncommon Algerian souvenir sweetheart brooch, two crossed crescents scattered with polychrome enamel dots in turquoise, blue and orange, bound at their crossing by a gilt ring with a suspended cast heart charm and ball-chain swag. The "Alger" inscription places this firmly within the tradition of North African keepsake jewellery made for soldiers, travellers and colonial visitors of the period.
