A handsome, substantial Victorian gate-link watch chain, alternating polished oval links with engraved diamond and dot patterned rectangles, finished with scrollwork connector bars, a swivel dog clip and a circular dark metal fob. Alberts of this width and quality were at the height of fashion through the 1870s to 1890s, worn boldly across the waistcoat front.
