A wonderfully characterful vintage orchid spray brooch, six cold-painted petals in white with cerise pink tips arranged around a domed faux pearl, set against finely veined gold tone leaves on a wire-wrapped bundled stem. A convincing botanical quality typical of the naturalistic costume jewellery worn for both day and evening dress through the 1930s to 1950s.

Good condition with age-related wear throughout. There is some paint loss to the petals consistent with age, and a crack is present down the centre of the faux pearl. The gold tone metal is intact overall with natural toning consistent with age, and the pin stem and C-catch are present and functional.
