A beautifully presented cameo brooch in a 12ct rolled gold frame, the shell carved with a classical female bust in fine white relief and elaborately dressed hair against a warm honey ground. Rose and leaf corner mounts and a twisted rope border give it real decorative presence, and the original attached safety chain adds a pleasing period detail.
