A damascene pendant depicting a bird among flowers and oak leaves in bright gold inlay against a jet-black ground, framed by a delicate gold tone filigree surround with a matching filigree bail. Characteristic of Toledo, Spain's centuries-old tradition of gold inlay into blackened metal, this is a well-preserved example of the mid-century export ware.
