A striking three row flip swivel ring where each band spins independently, red glass giving way to clear then blue as you turn it, a proper conversation piece with a clever bit of engineering behind it. The kind of ring that changes its mood depending on which face you show.
Many of these were sold in the art deco period, often with precious stones. This paste and silver example is just as delightful and has lovely chasing along the band. They were often called "Night and Day" rings.
